Staff threatened, goods stolen in multiple alleged robberies

Three alleged robberies at businesses in Waterloo Region may be connected.

Waterloo regional police say over the span of an hour, businesses in Kitchener and Cambridge were robbed.

The first case saw four masked individuals reportedly steal goods from an Ottawa Street South business around 10:45 p.m. Sunday night. The males threatened a loss-prevention officer who tried to intervene.

Around an hour later, a very similar situation at locations in Cambridge at Pinebush Road and Sagniaw Parkway. Police say products were stolen, and employees were threatened.

The three robberies are being investigated separately, but police believe they may be connected.

No one was physically hurt in any of the alleged robberies.

No suspect description of the four males has been released at this time.
