Watermain break closes portion of Fountain Street North in Cambridge

A watermain break has lead to serious traffic delays for motorists heading through Cambridge on Tuesday.

The City of Cambridge reports that Fountain Street North has been closed between King Street and Cherry Blossom Road for the reported watermain break.

The watermain is said to be located between Marmel Court and Highway 401.

The city added that King Street West is closed to traffic looking to head to Kitchener from Shantz Hill Road.

It’s unclear when that stretch of roadway will reopen to traffic.
