Police looking for 4 people after armed assault in Waterloo

It was four against one, in an alleged armed assault in Waterloo.

Waterloo Regional Police Service got the call around 7:30, Wednesday night, about an attack near Erb Street West and Caroline Street South.

Police say the male victim was walking, when four suspects came up to him. 

There was a confrontation, and the victim suffered multiple injuries from what police describe as an edged weapon.

He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspects had fled by the time officers arrived.

There are no suspect descriptions from police at this time.
