EB 401 lanes closed at Cedar Creek Road for police investigation

Eastbound lanes on Highway 401 were fully closed at Cedar Creek Road through Ayr early Friday evening.

The closure was due to an unspecified police investigation in the area.

OPP confirmed the closure stretched from Cedar Creek Road through to the Fountain Street/Homer Watson Boulevard exit.

No further details on the investigation and closure were immediately available, including an estimated reopening time.
