Severe thunderstorm watch ended for Waterloo Region

A severe thunderstorm watch issued for Waterloo Region and surrounding areas has since been lifted.

Environment Canada issued the watch on Wednesday afternoon, warning of conditions favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms on Wednesday evening.

Residents were warned to use caution as the weather system developed.
