Rangers announce tentative first round playoff details

The Kitchener Rangers have announced tentative details of the first round of the Ontario Hockey League playoffs.

Tickets will go on sale for game 1 and game 2 of the first round will go on sale at 10 a.m., Saturday, Mar. 23.

The first two home games of the first round playoff schedule are tentatively set for Friday, Mar. 29 and Sunday, Mar. 31. These dates are subject to change depending on the finalization of playoff matchups and league scheduling.

It is still unclear which team the Rangers will play in the first round. Kitchener will finish the season in fourth place in the Western Conference.

The Rangers have two games left of the 2023-24 regular season schedule Friday against Oshawa and Saturday in Erie.

Kitchener will be without Trent Swick until game 4 of the first round of the playoffs, while assistant coach Jeff Kyrzakos will be able to return for game 1 of the first round of the playoffs. The OHL announced both suspensions Wednesday.
