Waterloo working on 2023-2026 strategic plan

The City of Waterloo has started working on its strategic plan for 2023-2026. It will help identify the top priorities for the new city council.

The city is asking residents to complete an initial consultation survey.

“I’m excited to work with Council, staff and the community to put together the roadmap that will guide the next four years,” Waterloo Mayor Dorothy McCabe said in a news release. “I’ve been asking “What’s next, Waterloo?” and through the strategic plan process, we’ll take the ideas we’ve been discussing, and together we’ll set goals and actions to move us toward a better future for all.”

Deloitte LLP has also been conducting a municipal services satisfaction telephone survey on behalf of the city. It will help the municipality better understand satisfaction levels with current city services, as well as priorities.

As part of the strategic plan process, the city is also planning a series of community roundtables for early in 2023.
