GRCA further changing crowd size rules at Elora Quarry

There’s not enough elbow room at the Elora Quarry, so the park will be changing their maximum capacity rules.

Cam Linwood with the Grand River Conservation Authority says starting August 3rd, once the park reaches its daily capacity of 1300 guests, the gates will close.

Linwood says prior to this, park staff were allowing a one in and one out rule when it came to vehicle access. “It was creating a serious traffic back-up heading into the town of Elora, park staff noticed when the weather was significantly nicer, people would be lining up for hours.”

Once the season is over the park will reassess the new rules and evaluate whether they need to come up with a new solution.

The new rules go into effect August 3rd.
