U-W not backing down

The University of Waterloo is not changing its’ stance.

The players had set a 1-pm deadline to save their football season.

The university announced on Monday it was suspending the program for one year amid a steroids scandal.

Test results showed nine players may have broken anti-doping rules.

It’s believed about half the team will look at transferring to other schools.

The CIS ruled earlier this week that the players could seek a transfer.
