Waterloo regional police asked drivers to avoid part of Weber St. East in Kitchener on Monday afternoon following a single-vehicle crash.

Police responded to the collision around 3 p.m. as a vehicle struck a hydro pole.

No injuries were reported and Weber Street East was closed between Fairview Ave. and Borden Ave. for hydro repairs.

Police expected the road closure to last for several hours through Monday night.

A police spokesperson noted a tow truck driver and towing business were both charged under the Towing and Storage Safety and Enforcement Act for parking/stopping within 200m of a collision.
