Police make arrest after indecent act and sexual assault in Kitchener

Police have made an arrest after a reported indecent act and sexual assault in Kitchener.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) was called Thursday around 8:15 a.m. due to reports of a male committing an indecent act while chasing and grabbing children.

According to police, a female witness tried to intervene when she was sexually assaulted by the suspect.

Officers responded to the King Street East and Eby Street area, where they located and arrested a 26-year-old man.

He has been charged with offences including indecent act, criminal harassment, and sexual assault.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and the WRPS Special Victims Unit continues to investigate.
