Waterloo regional police are investigating a suspicious fire at a business in Cambridge that they believe was intentionally set.
It was around 2:25 a.m. on Friday morning when police responded alongside emergency crews to the Glen Morris Road and Cedar Street area of Cambridge.
The service said that the call was for a porch and “business area” on fire.
Crews with the Cambridge Fire Department were able to extinguish the small fire, with only minor property damage reported.
Police have since indicated, however, that the suspicious fire appears to have been intentionally set, with reports of three unknown men in masks spotted at the business prior to the fire.
