Intersection of Trussler and Huron Road reopened following multi-vehicle crash

Regional police are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that closed the intersection of Huron Road and Trussler Road in Kitchener – and they now say that charges are likely to be laid.

It was on Wednesday morning around 7:30 a.m. when police responded alongside emergency crews to reports of a three vehicle crash involving a Nissan, a Hyundai and a Ram pickup truck.

The driver of the involved Hyundai, a 30-year-old Kitchener man, was the only person that sustained physical injuries in the crash. He’s since been taken to a local hospital with injuries described as being serious but non-life-threatening.

Traffic spotters reaching out to the 570 NewsRadio on Wednesday morning reported heavy fog in the area, bringing visibility challenges.

While the investigation is still ongoing, police have confirmed to 570 NewsRadio that charges are anticipated.
