Doon Heritage Village to reopen this summer

Some exciting news for a local hot spot.

Doon Heritage Village is reopening this summer. The popular 1914-themed village with live animals, actors, and activities has been closed since 2023 for significant construction and repairs.

A budget of $1.5 million was for the upgrades, which were said to be on time and on budget in an update last year.

The grand reopening will be this Canada Day, according to an announcement on social media.

A soft launch will be June 1.

A behind the scenes look at the new Doon will be revealed on the museum’s social media accounts.
