Kitchener Rangers handle Storm to extend win streak

Kitchener Rangers fans who were part of the packed crowd at the Memorial Auditorium on Sunday afternoon are waking up with big smiles on their faces.

The Blueshirts have bragging rights over their rivals from down Highway 7 once again as they earned a big 4-3 win over the Guelph Storm.

Rangers forward Sam O’Reilly scored the game-winner, his first in front of the Rangers faithful at The Aud.

Defender Matthew Andonovski also had himself quite a day after returning from injury. He finished the day with a ‘Gordie Howe hat trick’, with a goal, an assist, and a fight.

The Storm have now lost four straight games and sit near the bottom of the Western Conference.

The Rangers will face a tough test when they next play on Wednesday, heading to Windsor to take on the high-flying Spitfires.
