GRCI, Rosemount to reopen Friday after power outage

A power outage in Kitchener forced two schools to close Thursday.

In a statement, the Waterloo Regional District School Board (WRDSB) said Grand River Collegiate Institute (GRCI) and Rosemount at GRCI were closed on Dec. 11.

As a result, students learned through asynchronous resources from home. Rental and extracurricular activities were also cancelled through the evening at the schools.

In an update Thursday night, the WRDSB said the schools would reopen on Friday.
