Additional charges laid in child exploitation investigation

Waterloo Regional Police Service handed down additional charges in connection with an ongoing child exploitation and sexual assault investigation.
Since August, police say multiple victims have come forward regarding an investigation involving Justin Garzon.
Garzon is also known to use several aliases including:
- Justin Alexander Garzon
- Ziggy
- Xavier Kain
- GatsbyASMR and GatsbyNSFW
- (TikTok) Egsneakyboi
- (Kik) AlexMrDaddy, AlexDadDepraved, DaughtLove, famlover5, incstlvr5, and Johnnymiracle
- (Snapchat) Dad748392
Garzon was arrested in Cambridge in August following an investigation that began in 2022.
Through the investigation, police identified a series of offences involving youth victims. It was revealed that Garzon had allegedly engaged in online communication with underage victims for several years while accumulating and distributing illicit materials.
At the time, Garzon was charged with the following:
- Luring a child (five counts)
- Invitation to sexual touching (two counts)
- Making child sexual abuse material (three counts)
- Possessing child sexual abuse material (four counts)
- Distributing child sexual abuse material (two counts)
- Making explicit material available to a child (four counts)
In an update Nov. 29, WRPS says Garzon now faces additional charges including:
- Assault
- Sexual assault
- Assault causing bodily harm (strangulation)
- Uttering threats to cause death
- Voyeurism
- Distributing intimate images without consent
The Brantford Police Service has also charged Garzon with sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm.
The investigation continues with assistance from Peel Regional Police Service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and Interpol.
Investigators say they believe there may be additional victims outside Waterloo Region.
