Etsy Holiday Market returns for 11th year

The first snowfall of the year is just in time to bring some holiday cheer to the Etsy Holiday Market as it returns for its 11th year.

Its the perfect oppritunity to get some handmade goods and crafts ahead of the holiday rush, with 100 Canadian artisans offering their products.

First launched in 2014, the market has gone on to grow into a cornerstone event for the region with thousands visiting each year.

“Through many hardships – the pandemic, multiple Canada post strikes, and ever-changing consumer habits, our makers have persevered,” Erin Leroux, the founder of the Etsy Holiday Market, said. “With the support and encouragement of our community who choose to shop local, share our stories, and support Canadian-made.”

The market offers countless goods from home decor or clothing to jewellery or art as well as gourmet treats. It runs both Saturday and Sunday at RIM Park in Waterloo.

Its runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, and tickets are $2 with those 16 and under entering for free.
