Pedestrian killed following late-night collision in Cambridge: WRPS

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating following the death of a Cambridge woman in a late-night collision.

Emergency services responded to reports a collision in the area of Christopher Drive and Champlain Boulevard around 11:15 p.m Friday night.

Officers were informed that a pick-up truck had struck a pedestrian in the area.

When police arrived, the 60-year-old Cambridge woman, who had received multiple injuries, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle was unharmed in the incident. Officers closed roads in the area for several hours as the initial investigation was underway.

No details have been given in relation to any charges stemming from the incident.

The investigation remains ongoing. WRPS is asking anyone who saw the collision or has dash-cam footage to call 519-570-9777 extension 8856.
