Guelph police are investigating after a crash involving a motorcycle killed a 32-year-old man on Thursday night.
Officers responded to the area of Speedvale Avenue and Metcalfe Street just before 9 p.m. to reports of a collision between a motorcycle and an SUV.
The motorcycle had two occupants and was heading west on Speedvale Avenue when it collided with a red SUV that was heading east.
Both of the people on the motorcycle were ejected from the vehicle, and one of the riders, a 32-year-old Guelph man, was pronounced dead on the scene. The other rider, a 39-year-old Guelph woman, suffered life-altering injuries and was taken to a Hamilton trauma centre.
The driver of the SUV, an 81-year-old resident of Guelph, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Police continue to investigate, and are asking anyone who may have video footage of the incident to come forward, either dash cam or security video.
