Williamsburg Community Centre in Kitchener officially open

A growing Kitchener neighbourhood celebrated the opening of a 17,000 square foot community centre on Tuesday.

The Williamsburg Community Centre is on 200 Rosenberg Way, in the southwest corner of Kitchener.

A grand opening for the facility won’t happen until spring 2026, but for now, the two gymnasiums and four multi-purpose rooms are open for use.

The building will host over 150 programs every week.

“I can’t wait to see the reaction from community members when they walk through the door. The new centre is fresh, inviting and is exactly what the community has been asking for,” said Ward 5 Councillor Ayo Owodunni

The new facility, replacing the former centre on Fischer-Hallman Road, also offers free access to Wi-Fi, computers and printers.
