A Puslinch man has been arrested again and charged again for a sexual assault, and the Ontario Provincial Police fear there may be more victims out there.
This all began on February 5, when the Wellington OPP detachment got a report about a sexual assault in a home in Puslinch Township.
On July 24, police arrested 74-year-old Richard Reid and charged him with sexual assault.
He was given a court date in August and released from police custody.
Then on Wednesday this week, the same man was arrested again, after another alleged victim came forward to police with evidence about an historical sexual assault.
Reid was charged again with sexual assault, given a court date for October, and released from police custody.
Police do not specify how long ago the historic offence occurred.
Now, investigators believe there may be other incidents involving Reid, and they want to hear from anyone who knows anything about this man and these alleged assaults.
People who can help in the investigation are asked to call Wellington County OPP directly at 1-888-310-1122. Anonymous tips can also be provided through Crime Stoppers Guelph Wellington.
The OPP say in a statement, “The public should know there is no statute of limitations on sexual offences, and a report can be made to police at any time, regardless of how much time has passed.”
