Fog lifts in Waterloo Region

It was a foggy morning drive for commuters across Waterloo Region.

Environment Canada issued a fog advisory for the region, and warned of near-zero visibility expected in some areas. That message has since been lifted as the fog dissipated as the morning continued.

Motorists were warned to use caution on the early commute, as fog patches could result in areas where visibility on the roadways could be significantly or suddenly reduced.

The weather agency noted at the time that when people see patches of dense fog while driving, they should slow down, watch for tail lights of any vehicles that may be ahead, and be prepared to stop if necessary.
