Group assault, robbery in Waterloo under investigation

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating what it says was an assault and robbery.

Police were called Thursday night at 9:15 p.m. receiving reports of a robbery in the Central Street area.

According to police, a victim was allegedly assaulted by a group of people including approximately seven males and one female.

Police say it was reported that one of the male suspects had a knife but no injuries were reported.

Waterloo regional police continue to investigate and want to hear from anyone who has relevant dash cam or surveillance video.
