Kitchener stabbing under investigation by regional police

A stabbing in Kitchener just before the weekend is under investigation by Waterloo Regional Police.

It happened on Friday around 6:45 p.m. in the College Street and Duke Street area of the city.

A 63-year-old man was allegedly approached by an unknown assailant and assaulted; the suspect fled the scene before police could arrive.

The victim was taken to hospital, where he was treated for non life threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing, anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
