Kitchener business targeted with property damage, hate-motivated comments

Waterloo Regional Police have opened an investigation on reports of property damage and hate-motivated comments directed at a Kitchener business.

Police say an unknown suspect entered a restaurant in the are of King Street East and Borden Avenue North on Friday shortly before 8 p.m.

The suspect allegedly damaged a card scanner.

Through an initial investigation, police learned that the same suspect allegedly made hate-motivated comments towards employees at the same Kitchener business approximately a week prior.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the WRPS’ Neighbourhood Policing Central Division.
