Charges laid after gun, knife flashed in Kitchener gas station robbery

A Kitchener man is now facing a list of charges following an armed robbery at a gas station in that city – during which, both a gun and knife were flashed.

It happened around 1:10 a.m. on Sunday. Regional police responded to a reported robbery incident at a gas station, on Highland Road West near Fischer-Hallman Road.

It’s alleged that a male suspect made their way into the business, flashed a gun and a knife, and demanded cash from an employee.

That male suspect then fled the area.

No injuries have were reported as a result of the incident

Providing an update on Monday night, police said a 24-year-old Kitchener man had been arrested in connection with the armed robbery.

That man now faces charges of robbery with a firearm, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
