Cambridge man arrested in Snapchat child luring investigation

A Cambridge man is facing a long list of charges in connection with a child luring investigation by Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

The 30-year-old man known as Nyke, on Discord, and sir.campos, on Snapchat, allegedly sent sexually explicit messages to a 14-year-old girl and even arranged to meet with her in person.

DRPS began the investigation back in February and just last week, on Friday, arrested Brian Campos Bolanos from Cambridge.

There is concern the 14-year-old girl was not the only victim.

“Police are concerned there may be other victims and would like to speak with anyone with information,” read a release.

Charges against Campos Bolanos include:

Luring a person under the age of 16 for the purpose of facilitating the commission of sexual assault
Luring a person under the age of 16 for the purpose of facilitating the commission of sexual interference
Luring a person under the age of 16 for the purpose of facilitating the commission of invitation to sexual touching
Luring a person under the age of 18 for the purpose of facilitating the commission of making child pornography

Anyone with information on the case is asked to reach out to police or Crime Stoppers.
