New guitar on Kitchener lotto winner’s shopping list

Dean Lester is singing songs of joy after a lottery win to the tune of $100,000.

The 55-year-old from Kitchener won the top prize with INSTANT IN THE MONEY MULTIPLIER, at the Stop 2 Shop on Hazelglen Road in Kitchener.

Lester has been played the lottery for years, with this marking his first big win.

“I went home, played my ticket, and couldn’t believe my eyes when I uncovered a big win,” he said, adding he couldn’t wait to share the news with his family.

“I sent her (his mom) a picture of my ticket and asked, ‘Do you see what I’m looking at?’ She was so happy and excited for me. I shared the same photo with my sister, and she was just as stunned as I was. She congratulated me and told me to spend it wisely.”

Lester looks to now invest the cash and buy a new guitar.
