Two arrests made in 2023 shooting at Kitchener plaza

A shooting incident at a Kitchener plaza in 2023 has now led to two arrests.

Police responded to the Ottawa Street and River Road area around 2 a.m. on Sept. 27 due to reports of a shooting.

A 21-year-old man was taken to an out-of-region hospital and pronounced dead.

At the time, investigators believed it was a targeted incident. Just before the weekend, police made two arrests in connection with their lengthy investigation.
