Pre-dawn robbery and assault at Kitchener store, police looking for suspect

Waterloo Regional Police are on the hunt for a suspect in what they describe as a pre-dawn robbery and assault at a Kitchener store.
They say it happened just before 2:00, Friday morning, at a convenience store around Ottawa Street North and Weber Street East.
Police say the suspect assaulted an employee, stole merchandise, and fled.
No one was physically hurt.
Police say the supsect was described as a Black male, 6 feet tall, with a medium build and short hair, and at the time was wearing a brown jacket down to his knees, with brown pants and white shoes.
Investigators are urging witnesses to come forward.
