Three arrests made following attempted robbery in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested three youths following a commercial robbery in Kitchener Friday night.

It happened at roughly 11 p.m. at a restaurant in the area of Ira Needles Boulevard and University Avenue West.

Police say the three youths allegedly entered the restaurant and tried to take products before a weapon was pulled toward staff members.

A physical altercation followed, but no injuries were reported from the event.

The three suspects fled the scene before police arrived, but they were found and placed under arrest.

They’re facing multiple charges including robbery, and have placed in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
