Winter weather travel advisory issued for election morning

Thursday morning snowfall prompted Environment Canada to issue a brief winter weather travel advisory for Waterloo Region on election day.
The weather agency warned of reduced visibility at times Thursday morning in areas of heavy snow, particularly in urban areas.
By 8 a.m. two centimetres of snow had fallen in the Stanley Park area of Kitchener.

Jill Taylor, 570 NewsRadio Meteorologist, says the majority of election day will be mostly cloudy following the morning snowfall, with some scattered flurries in the evening.
The winter weather travel advisory ended around 9 a.m.
