Charge laid after vehicle crashes into Waterloo business

A Hamilton man is facing charges, after his vehicle slammed into a building near a busy Waterloo intersection Monday.

Around 4:15 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police shut down Regina Street North at University Avenue West after a crash saw one vehicle leave the road, and crash into a nearby business.

Police say fortunately no one was hurt, and the building only saw minor damage.

One of the drivers involved in the two-car crash has since been charged.

Police say a 21-year-old Hamilton man is facing a charge of Turn – Not in Safety.

Regina Street North was reopened Monday evening, several hours following the crash.

The investigation is still ongoing.
