Two arrested in relation to gunpoint robbery on Green Valley Drive in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested two men in relation to an armed robbery in Kitchener.

It happened at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the area of Green Valley Drive and Mill Park Drive.

Police said the victim had arranged to purchase a vehicle from an online website, meeting the seller at a residential building when they were approached by two unknown men.

One of those suspects pointed a firearm at the victim, demanding their personal property and stealing goods before fleeing the area.

Officials have since confirmed that no physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

As a result of the investigation police arrested a 31-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, both from Kitchener.

They have been charged with robbery with a weapon, forcible confinement, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and possession of stolen property.

The 36-year-old man has additionally been charged with disguise with intent and breach of a release order.
