7-year-old boy hurt in Guelph hit-and-run

A 7-year-old boy is recovering from minor injuries after a reported hit-and-run in Guelph.

Police say the young boy was crossing a driveway Friday afternoon around 4 p.m. at a townhouse complex on Poppy Drive East, when he was allegedly hit by a car.

The woman behind the wheel of the vehicle drove away. She is described as between 30 and 40 years-old, wearing a white hijab.

She was driving a white 2014-2017 Honda Civic at the time with licence plates containing ‘CE.’
