July was wet and warm: E.D. Soulis weather station

Record breaking rain and high heat hit Waterloo Region last month, this according to the E.D. Soulis Memorial weather station at the University of Waterloo.
The station is out with it’s monthly weather recap and July saw many of us dealing with flooding, and cranking the A/C. The hottest day got up to nearly 32 C, the warmest July since 2020.
Mid-July saw two days of record breaking rainfall. One, when the remnants of Hurricane Beryl poured over the region and the other, that Tuesday morning that saw about a month’s worth of rain come down in just a few hours.
In total 105 mm fell throughout the month.
Some monthly statistics include:
- Maximum Temperature 31.6 C
- Minimum Temperature 8.8 C
- Average Daily High Temperature 27.7 C (long term average 26.5 C)
- Average Daily Low Temperature 15.0 C (long term average 14.8 C)
- Total Precipitation 104.6 mm (Long term average 78.2 mm)
