OPP confirm second death in fatal Oxford County crash

A two-vehicle crash in Oxford County last month, now resulted in two fatalities.

According to the OPP the crash happened on the morning of July 4, at the 16th Line and Cassel Side Road intersection in East Zorra-Tavistock.

Initially police said a passenger in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, who has since been identified as a 32-year-old from Kitchener.

At the time, the driver of that vehicle was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the other car was hospitalized as a precaution.

Oxford County OPP have said tragically, they were recently notified the driver who was in life-threatening condition, died.

They have been identified as a 34-year-old from Waterloo, and OPP note no further details on the investigation are available at this time.
