Police investigating armed robbery in Cambridge

Police are investigating an armed robbery in Cambridge on Friday afternoon.

According to Waterloo Regional Police, the incident took place around 4:30 p.m. inside a business in the area of Franklin Blvd. and Jamieson Pkwy.

Officers received reports of an individual in the business with what was believed to be a firearm. They left before the police arrived.

There were no reports of injuries or safety concerns.

Police are reporting an increased police presence in the area while they investigate.

Waterloo Regional Police are gathering information and looking for the suspect.
