Emergency water disruption affecting large portion of Waterloo

A large area of Waterloo is experiencing an emergency water disruption.

According to the city, the area between Wilmot Line, Erbsville Road, Conservation Drive, Fischer-Hallman Road and Westmount Road could experience discoloured water on Wednesday starting at 2 p.m.

A spokesperson for the City of Waterloo has pointed to construction on Fischer-Hallman Road between Gatestone Boulevard and Laurelwood Drive as the cause of the disruption.

They added that most residents will be experiencing discoloured water due to a loss of pressure in the system.

There could also be low water pressure in some areas, leading to a lack of water.

More to come.
