What’s open/closed across Waterloo Region for Canada Day long weekend

It’s the Canada Day long weekend and with the holiday comes services changes and closures.

In terms of transit, the GRT will have services operating on a reduced holiday schedule. MobilityPLUS services will be running during the holiday weekend as well but, any time changes can be found on the GRT’s website.

Curbside garbage collection will be unaffected by the holiday but, you’re asked to have your bags out by 7 a.m. Monday morning if it’s your regular collection day.

Waste drop-off locations in Cambridge and Waterloo for residential waste are closed until July 2.

All regional administration offices, public libraries, rec centres and public pools are closed Canada Day.

Regional museum’s including the Ken Seiling and Schneider Haus museum’s are open during the holiday weekend but, are only operating between 11 a.m until 4:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. respectively.
