Food4Kids Waterloo Region looking for donations to support summer program

Food4Kids Waterloo Region is feeding 1,300 youth and children in 100 elementry schools each week.

The organization said the number of children experiencing chronic hunger and food insecurity is growing close to 4,000 kids in the region.

To address the issue, Food4Kids Waterloo Region is gearing up for its summer program to continue helping children who might be facing food insecurity.

Current food requests being made include peanut butter, WOWBUTTER (a non-nut alternative), canned chicken and canned tuna.

You can drop off the items at Food4Kids Waterloo Region located at 10 Washburn Dr. Unit 4.

On Saturday, June 8, Waterloo Taxi will donate $1 from each ride to Food4Kids Waterloo Region to support the summer program.
