Kitchener man facing firearm charges in connection with May shooting

A Kitchener man now faces several charges in relation to a shooting late last month in the city.
It was on May 30 around 6 a.m. when police were called to the area of Courtland Avenue East and Block Line Road for reports of gunshots.
No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
A later investigation revealed that the shooting stemmed from an altercation between multiple individuals, believed to have been known to one another.
Providing an update on Monday, police said they executed a search warrant in the area of Morgan Avenue and River Road, conducted by members of the service’s General Investigations Unit and Emergency Response Team.
A 29-year-old Kitchener man was arrested and charged with multiple firearms-related offences in relation to the May 30 shooting.
