Power restored in Kitchener after equipment failure leads to outage

Enova Power says equipment failure sparked a power outage in Kitchener on Wednesday.

The utility company reported the outage around 12:30 p.m. and said 970 customers were impacted.

The outage affected the Bridge Street, Bloomingdale Road, and Riverbend Drive area.

Drivers were told to treat any affected traffic lights at intersections as a four-way stop.

Power was fully restored to the area by 2 p.m.
