Man facing numerous charges after crash in Waterloo

A 21-year-old man is facing several charges that include impaired driving after a crash in Waterloo.

The crash happened in the area of King Street South and Union Street East around 7:20 p.m. on Thursday.

The Waterloo man was driving a blue Cadillac while heading east on Union when he sideswiped a black Chevrolet before hitting a gold BMW head-on. That caused the driver of the Cadillac to leave the road, and then he hit a building.

Police arrested the man and charged him with dangerous operation, driving without a validated permit and with cannabis readily available.
