Pedestrian seriously hurt, dog killed in crash on Myers Road in Cambridge

A pedestrian sustained serious injuries after a crash on Myers Road in Cambridge.

Police responded to the crash between a car and pedestrian around 7:40 a.m. on Friday.

The 49-year-old woman who was walking in the area was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries. At the time, she was walking her dog who was killed as a result of the crash.

The driver of the vehicle, a 52-year-old man, did not sustain any injuries.

Myers Road was closed for several hours between Birkinshaw Road and Water Street South as police investigated, but has since reopened.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with additional information or who saw the crash is asked to contact police at 519-570-9777, ext. 8856.
