Charges anticipated after two-vehicle collision in Kitchener

One driver was seriously hurt after a two-vehicle crash in Kitchener and police confirm charges are pending.

It happened around 8:40 a.m. on Mar. 26 in the King Street East and Deer Ridge Drive area.

Waterloo Regional Police said a black Ford pick-up truck and a red Chevrolet car collided in the intersection.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 26-year-old man, was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 32-year-old Kitchener man, was not hurt.

Police said their investigation into the collision is continuing and charges are anticipated.

The crash happened in the same area where a pedestrian was fatally struck on the night of Mar. 14.

Police confirmed their investigation into that crash also remains ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
