Snow squall warning ended for Waterloo Region

By CityNews Kitchener Staff

It was a blustery start to spring in Waterloo Region – with strong winds and snow fall making Wednesday feel more like the winter we’ve largely missed.

The weather agency had warned of conditions favourable for brief snow squalls, issuing a snow squall warning and recommending the postponement of any non-essential travel.

Wednesday’s drive was largely marred by blowing snow, impacting visibility for motorists contending with slick roadways.

In Waterloo Region, there were 38 reported crashes between 5:30 a.m. and 10 a.m. and four of them involved injuries.

The snow squall warning issued for Waterloo Region has since ended.
