Local humane society launches Bake for the Animals fundraiser

Or perhaps packing pastries proudly for pups?
Pick your puns, the local humane society is once again running its annual Bake for the Animals fundraiser this February!
It’s a simple and yet delicious concept, register online to bake some treats, make those treats, raise some cash for your local humane society.
The Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth notes its not just bakers they need but eaters as well – that’s pretty easy.
They have their Pastry Path option this year, where you can look up local businesses participating in the initiative and shop for the purpose of raising money for some pups.
And a bit more than “some pups” need your help.
The humane society announced earlier this week it has four times the number of dogs in their shelter compared to this time last year, with a total of 140 animals in care.
Small kittens are also in abundance at both locations, which require around the clock care.
