$3000 in vape products stolen from Kitchener business after armed robbery

Two suspects are still being sought after a trio stole thousands of dollars worth of vape products from a Kitchener store.

Police said one of them had a knife.

It all happened Tuesday evening around 6 p.m. in the Victoria Street South and Strange Street area, just down the road from Park Street, on the west end of Victoria Park.

Police said the three went into a store, demanded vape products, and then fled.

All three had their faces covered, with one wearing a skull face mask, another a white balaclava.

Providing an update on Wednesday, police said one of those suspects had been identified and arrested.

The individual, said to be a youth, was charged with robbery with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and disguise with intent.

The other two suspects are still at large.

Police have released the following descriptions of the suspects, all said to be white and in their twenties:

  • Black curly hair, wearing a white balaclava, black headphones around his neck, a grey sweater, red underwear, and blue jeans.
  • Wearing a black jacket, black toque, a skull face mask, black jacket, and black pants.
